Aug. 31, 2006 — Carpenter Technology Corp. announced that Barry J. Chapman has become Vice President of Human Resources at Carpenter.

Chapman, 48, previously served as Vice President, Human Resources at Olympus America, Inc., a position he has held since 2002. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Human Resources at Volvo Trucks North America; and Vice President of Human Resources at Navistar International Truck and Engine Corp.

Chapman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Oregon State University and a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University.

Based in Wyomissing, Pa., Carpenter Technology is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty alloys and engineered products.
