Danieli to Supply Galvanizing Line to E-United Group

June 2006 — The E-United Group recently awarded Danieli an order for a new hot dip galvanizing line to be installed at Sino Leading Co. Ltd., Jiangsu province.
The new line will incorporate a complete Danieli package including Danieli Wean United terminals, a Danieli Centro Combustion furnace, and Danieli Automation electrical, automation, and process control system.
The line will process 0.2 to 1.6 mm thick, 762 to 1,550 mm wide strips at maximum process and entry/exit speeds of 200 and 275 meter/minute, respectively, to process a maximum coil weight of 25 tonnes. The continuous galvanizing line is designed for a throughput of 300,000 tonnes/year. The new line will process low-carbon steel (as cold rolled) and HSLA steel strip for the facility’s final products of galvanized and Galvalume.
The line includes an entry and exit section with vertical accumulators. The exit section incorporates a Danieli Wean United 4-high skin-pass mill coupled with a Danieli Wean United tension leveler. Provision has been made for a vertical cleaning section to be installed after the entry looper.
The process area includes a vertical annealing furnace with recuperative, direct-fired, and radiant-tube sections and a pot area with Danieli Kohler air-knife modifications for both galvanized and Galvalume products. A chemical coating section is included in the exit section in order to apply the requested surface coatings, with provision for further expansion for multiple coaters.
Danieli Automation will develop and supply electrical, automation and process control systems in order to allow the commissioning of the line in the final quarter of 2007.
This project follows Danieli’s successful installation of a hot skin-pass mill for E-United Group’s Lisco subsidiary in China.
