Techint and Danieli Form Alliance for Consteel Technology
Mar. 2, 2006 March 2, 2006 — Techint and Danieli have announced they will pool their experience and international market presence to cooperatively supply steelmakers with Consteel® technology.

Danieli came to support the benefits of EAF continuous charging and scrap preheating through development and successful installation of its own equipment and technical solutions.
Two of Danieli’s furnaces are equipped with their own continuous scrap charging and preheating equipment, while two other Danieli furnaces are equipped with Techint’s Consteel technology.

Based on a process incorporating continuous scrap charging and preheating, Consteel is recognized as a clean, user-friendly and energy-efficient solution for today’s improved steelmaking. High productivity and low production cost are key benefits.
Techint’s proprietary Consteel technology has been chosen with outstanding results by twenty-two customers on four continents with plants ranging from 40 to 300 tons of liquid steel production per hour.
