Casey Equipment Corp. has been hired as the exclusive sales agent for Halyvourgiki Inc., Greece.

Equipment for sale includes a 110-tonne Lectromelt/Fuchs EAF, 65-inch wide Voest Alpine/Danieli single-strand slab caster, 65-inch wide Demag 3-Stand 4-High tandem mill, and two 65-inch wide pickle lines. Additional equipment includes a batch anneal facility with 52 Bases, a 57-inch skinpass mill, five slitting lines and three shear lines. Also available are a 30-stand dual-path continuous bar mill and a 12-stand Banning continuous bar mill.

Under terms of the contract, Casey will perform such sales-related tasks as advertising/marketing, customer inspections, and contract negotiation. The equipment, which is featured on a website created by Casey, will be sold through private negotiations. Casey will continue to update the site as additional information becomes available.

Halyvourgiki Inc. is a major Greek steel mill very well known in the European market. The surplus equipment has become available following an €150 million investment to install state-of-the-art equipment for its production in Greece.

Founded in 1961, Casey Equipment Corp. is a world-leading provider of used and refurbished steel mill equipment. Casey recently sold equipment from the former Geneva Steel, and is currently selling a meltshop for Oregon Steel as well as a 42-inch DSAW pipe mill for Napa Pipe.
