Harsco Expands Mill Services at Ascometal's Fos sur Mer Facility
Oct. 15, 2008 Harsco Corp. has been awarded a new six-year contract to provide steel upgrading and finishing services for Ascometal's Fos sur Mer operations in the south of France.
The new contract, which is valued at more than $17 million, will add to Harsco’s ongoing services at this location. It will also introduce a bar handling and grinding service with a projected volume of 100,000 bars per year.
Ascometal makes high-performance steels, including alloyed and heat-treated products, for a range of industrial markets. Harsco’s work is to begin immediately and is expected to contribute positively to the company’s Economic Value Added performance.
