Harsco Corp. announced that its MultiServ mill services division has been awarded a three-year add-on contract by Lafarge North America to provide expanded on-site steel slag screening and handling services.

Lafarge processes granulated blast furnace slag from a major steel mill for use in the production of concrete and construction aggregates. Under this add-on contract, MultiServ will screen up to 300,000 tons of slag per year to support new market requirements that Lafarge has identified.

The contract is valued at close to $3 million over its duration.
