IAS to Supply Level 1 System for Fujian Nanping Aluminum Cold Mill
Nov. 12, 2007 Fujian Nanping Aluminum, Nanping, China, has signed an agreement with Industrial Automation Services (IAS), to design, supply, and commission a new Level 1 Control System for their new four-high cold rolling mill being supplied by Chinese mill builder CNPT.
The Level 1 control system will incorporate hydraulic gap control, automatic gauge control, roll eccentricity control, and shape control. The system will be based on Industrial Automation’s achieva MILL AUTOMATION platform, an open architecture control system that features IAS’ easy to maintain, graphical programming interface.
Industrial Automation’s scope of supply also includes a new high-precision ABB Solid Style shape roll, new USC spray headers with the capability of hot edge sprays, and position transducers from Parkegate Engineering.
IAS will execute engineering design, project management, installation assistance, commissioning, and operator/maintenance training through its offices in Pittsburgh, Pa.
