Universal Stainless to Increase Base Price for Stainless Wire Rod
Feb. 19, 2010 Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. has announced a base price increase of 5% on all stainless wire rod manufactured at its Dunkirk Specialty Steel, LLC facility.
"The price adjustment is necessary to support our continued reinvestment in equipment and facilities to better serve our customers," said Chris Zimmer, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
The increase is to become effective with all new orders entered on March 1, 2010 forward, with current material and energy surcharges remaining in effect.
Headquartered in Bridgeville, Pa., Universal Stainless & Alloy Products manufactures and markets a broad line of semi-finished and finished specialty steels, including stainless steel, tool steel and certain other alloyed steels. The company's products are sold to rerollers, forgers, service centers, original equipment manufacturers and wire redrawers.
