Sep. 14, 2004

Republic Engineered Products Inc. congratulated one of its largest customers, Honda of America Mfg., on its 25th anniversary.

Honda of America uses steel bar products from Republic for critical engine components. Republic was recognized last week during the automaker's Partners in Success dinner, which marked the 25-year anniversary of Honda of America's establishment. More than 800 people attended the event.

"Honda has taught Republic and many other American manufacturers a great deal about business and continuous improvement," said Joseph F. Lapinsky, President and CEO at Republic. "As a result of what we've
learned, we have grown with Honda for nearly 20 years. The experience has made us a better supplier of bar steel solutions for the most demanding automotive applications. We look forward to making continued contributions to Honda's success."

Republic Engineered Products, Inc. is a leading North American supplier of special bar quality (SBQ) steel. With headquarters in Fairlawn, Ohio, the privately owned company operates steelmaking centers in Canton and Lorain, Ohio, and value-added rolling and finishing facilities in Canton, Lorain and Massillon, Ohio; Lackawanna, N.Y.; Gary, Ind.; and Hamilton, Ont.
